Tuesday, 16 September 2008:Sabre Holdings has expanded its companys airline portfolio with the acquisition of Flight Explorer, the industrys leading provider of Aircraft Situation Display (ASD) solutions.
Flight Explorer will become part of Sabre Airline Solutions, the worlds leading provider of integrated solutions and services for airlines and airports.

Flight Explorer products will be fully integrated with Sabres Dispatch Manager, part of Sabre Airline Solutions Flight Planning suite.The two companies will provide airlines with solutions that will give them access to critical, real-time operational information and world-class flight plan optimization and among other benefits help pre-empt delays. Flight Explorers products will also be available to global aviation customers as a stand-alone solution.

Later this year, Flight Explorer and Sabre will launch SmartFleet, which will combine multiple data sources of air traffic, airport capacity and weather into one display while interacting with the flight planning engine.
SmartFleet is expected to significantly improve on-time performance, aircraft utilization and fuel efficiencies across carriers and general aviation.
